DIY $9 Family Wreath.

Okay, I admit it! I'm quiet addicted to, "do it yourself," crafts! I've been wanting to make a personalized family wreath for out front door but they could be expensive. When I was at Michael's Arts and Crafts store I found these adorable wooden signs. "H," for my family's last name and, "family!" These were about $1.98 each but I had a 20% coupon and the cashier let me use it twice, so I got a even better deal! Michael's also expects Smartphone coupons!

I hit up my local dollar store and got a few items.
1.) Pool Noddle
2.) Two leaf sets

I already had a roll of twine, duct tape and electrical tape but you can also find these items at the, "Dollar Tree."

1.) Tape the ends of the pool noddle together to create a round wreath.

2.) Duct tape the wreath
(This step is totally point less if you're going to cover the whole wreath with twine. Or, you can cover half the wreath where you will be covering with leaves.)

This is what the wreath should look like after fully duct taped.

3.) Begin to wrap the twine around the wreath. I added a line of hot glue and continued to cover the glue with the twine.

Since this was used twine, I ran out to cover the whole thing. But, it didn't mater because I had enough leaves to cover up all that black!

4.) Gather your leaves and strip them from their vine.

5.) Wrap the vine around the wreath where you want to place the leaves. Hot glue the vine the same way you hot glued twine.

6.) Begin to hot glue the leaves over the vine and onto the wreath.

7.) These metal twist ties and brown vine came attached to the leaves I bought from the Dollar tree. So I took the brown vine and twist tied them around to hold the, "H." I also hot glued it down.

I hot glued the, "Family," sign to the actual wreath, not the leaves and then hot glued the remaining leaves around the sign.

I ABSOULTY LOVE IT!

It's been hanging up for about 2 months now and it's still attached and sitting pretty. I plan on making another soon for the fall holidays! =)
